More attention needed for climate change- Copenhagen summit

Nowadays, the world is challenging with economic downturn as a huge phenomenon in 21th century. This phenomenon is absolutely dependent on some crucial aspects such as credit crunch and high energy cost. But economic crisis as a topic of today politicians has other important reason that if politicians don’t find some solution for it, can make more trouble for the world in future.
One important effect in economic downturn can be climate change which is creating a lot of problem for the world wheels. Global warming and sea level rising are two important phenomena of climate change which need more attention for policy makers.
A number of studies show that carbon emissions are rising faster than expected and that greenhouse gas targets may not be enough to prevent catastrophic temperature rise. Also climate experts have warned about so-called “tipping points” that could lead to runaway warning and rapid sea level rise.
Having said that, even without the new information there is enough to make most policy makers think more that urgent action is absolutely essential. The importance of these alarms is as incredible important as credit crunch and banks problem for government and policy makers.
However from academic and Scientifics sides, they are to held an emergency summit to warn the world politicians they are being too timid in their response to global warming and its effects in the world wheels in the future.
Climate experts from across the world will gather in Copenhagen next month to agree a stark message to policy makers. The meeting follows “disturbing” studies that suggest global warming could strike harder and faster than expected. The meeting will publish an update to the 2007 report of intergovernmental panel on climate change (IPCC).
Ultimately, it is important for governments and policy makers to consider these types of events and devise strategic plan for the future of the world and economic downturn. Undoubtedly climate change will affect on food shortage which cause fell more on the world economic.

The deep roots of Knife crime in London

Regretfully, in the past days London has been again the theatre of numerous knife crimes targeting young people by youths themselves. The fact that more than 10 youths were attacked and stabbed dead in less than one week is a big tragedy for London society, while police duties and security are being seriously questioned.
When considering the age of victims and their murderers, sadly we realize that, on one side they are almost teenagers whose life conditions in London prove particularly unsafe. On the other side, however, the crucial question we should ask ourselves is why, despite the massive security measures and CCTVs put in place, particularly in the last times, London face this terrible recrudescence of brutal violence.
I think these crimes should be interpreted as a special alarm for London policy makers and well as the overall society. In order to be effective in cutting this phenomenon, the call for revision of the security system in London, must take into consideration and incorporating in its approach the deep crises of values affecting the young populations, a much wider phenomenon then London and the UK, but reaching other European countries and the rest of the world.
Values as “respect” and “belonging” should be highlighted and reaffirmed in educational and awareness campaigns and activities aiming at non-violent communication, especially among the youths, inducing them to express themselves and their aggressiveness in a different and positive way. It goes without saying that measures to restrict the use of knife among young people, can accompany and facilitate a tailor made educational and informative process in which all sections and levels of population should be involved in tandem with the Mayor of London.
In addition, the overwhelming bombarding of knife crime news in the media can incite forms of imitations both in London and overall UK if radical actions to curb this scourge at its root are not taken in the proper way and timing.
